Start rounding up your group for the All New HBCU BAND TOUR!
8th - 12th grade students and parents!
2019 HBCU BAND TOUR:
- Three College Tours! Summer Band Camp-August 14-20 /Northern-October 10-12 /Southern Bayou November 30-December 3.
- Tour over 30 HBCU's.
- Visit college recruiters.
- Tour campuses.
- Band students (musicians/dancers/flags) meet with college band director, audition and sit in college band rehearsals!
- Vocalist meet with music/vocal department.
- Cheerleaders meet with college cheerleaders.
- HBCU Band Tour is for all! You don't have to be a band member/vocal/cheerleader to attend!
- Fun excursions! Six Flags, GA. and Daytona Beach (Band Camp Tour). Howard vs. Norfolk Football (Northern Tour). Bayou Classic Southern vs. Grambling Football ( Southern Bayou Tour).
- College Symposium
GROUP COORDINATOR INCENTIVES: Earn a free college tour for one of your students!
- You earn one free tour for coordinating, attending and bringing the first 6 fully paid college tour attendees.
- Earn one free tour for each 12 fully paid attendees.
- You are also welcome to speak in the HBCU Band Tour Symposium!
TOUR GROUP IDEAS:
- Partner with parents, counselors, community organizations, educator ... to support your group!
- Your partners can assist you with your group on the college tour.
- Remember, you can earn free tours in your group and sponsor a student.
- Chaperone
- You can use the extra tours to do give-a-ways.
- Have your students do fundraisers.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Complete this form and submit.
2. March for College will register you as a HBCUBT Group Coordinator.
3. March for College will forward you a flyer with your school/community information on it to share, a welcome letter with instructions, and a passenger log for you and M4C to keep track.
4. Share the flyer at school with students, teachers, coaches and PTA. Also at church and the community.
5. Build your group up so you can earn free college tours to donate to your students!
NOTE:
1. All attendees must be paid in full three weeks before the college tour.
2. We encourage high school sponsors to have several team members like teachers, parents, coaches, family to assist with their group.
3. If your group did not earn seven or more, you will be responsible for paying for your HBCU Band Tour.
4. Although March for College, Inc. staff will conducting the tour, each group coordinator will be responsible for managing their group.
5. Prior to the HBCU Band Tours, we will be working closely with you to assist. We are open to suggestions and would like your input to make the first HBCU BAND TOUR an informative, helpful and memorable college tour! Email [email protected].
